Ciò che appare decisamente come una manifestazione di gesti volgari è in realtà normale nei villaggi intorno a Mathura in due particolari giorni dell'anno. Ai maschi di un villaggio è concesso di fare visita a quello limitrofo e importunare le donne insultandole e ripetendo frasi scurrili. I mariti di queste donne lo permettono anche perchè , il giorno successivo, sarà per loro il momento di ricambiare la visita e comportarsi nel medesimo modo.
