Il Ponte di Ravasco (Ponte di Carignano o Ponte dei Suicidi) venne costruito agli inizi del 1700 per unire il Centro Storico di Genova con la basilica dell'Assunta sulla collina di Carignano. Il ponte passava sopra il caratteristico e popolare quartiere Madre di Dio definito come uno dei più belli di genova. A cavallo degli anni '60 e '70 il quartiere fu completamente demolito per lasciare spazio a una serie di orribili edifici moderni dove ora hanno sede molti uffici della Regione e uffici privati, e il raccordo tra il centro di Genova e la Sopraelevata (altro scempio urbanistico dello stesso periodo). Cuore di questa "ristrutturazione" definita una "belinata" dai Genovesi DOC (io lo sono solo di adozione) sono i "Giardini Baltimora" meglio noti come "Giardini di Plastica" forse come riferimento allo strato di siringhe che ne ricopriva i vialetti..... (non ci metto piede da anni, mai visto niente di più squallido). Non conosco la storia della casa fotografata che si trova sotto il primo arco del Ponte di Ravasco. Non so se sia stata costruita prima del ponte e poi inglobata o se sia più recente... devo dire che è abbastanza impressionante
