In Valle d'Aosta, in Valpelline, nel territorio del Comune di Bionaz, a circa 2000 metri d'altezza, si trova una delle dighe più grandi d'Europa, vale a dire la diga di Place Moulin. L'omonimo lago artificiale ha una capacità di raccolta di ben 105 milioni di m3 di acqua ed è alimentato da un bacino imbrifero di 137 Km2, dei quali quasi il 20% è (era) costituito da ghiacciai. Peccato però che sia praticamente vuoto, come visibile nella foto da me scattata a pasquetta, a causa dell'imperante siccità e del cambiamento climatico in corso: quel giorno, alle 14,00, c'erano ben 22 gradi! Mi è venuto da piangere vedendo tale situazione e pensando allo spettacolo naturale offerto dalle acque color verde-turchese del lago che ho potuto ammirare lì sul posto sino ancora a qualche anno fa. Che tristezza!
