Uso la solita didascalia per completare l'immagine del passaggio nel medioevo, verso il rientro nel chiostro, buona visione. La struttura del Santuario comprende la chiesa, l'antico convento dei carmelitani, un campanile (1566) e un bellissimo chiostro, con aperture di passaggio in tre lati, considerando l'esclusione della facciata del lato abitato. Ci sono piccoli dettagli che portano alla scoperta di strutture del passato in stile medievale (medioevo terminato nel 1520) come questo breve camminamento coperto, se consideriamo che un lato del chiostro e il Santuario è confinante con un abitato antecedente, di architettura medievale si tratta. Il Santuario infatti venne costruito tra il 1536 e il 1552, in seguito ad un evento miracoloso: si dice infatti che in questo luogo, il 16 luglio 1535, la Vergine Maria apparse ad una pastorella.
