The act of defecation, photo taken from a series sent on March 13, 2022 (17:22) by Silvia Alessi. 15 comments, 1100 views.

1/25 f/11.0, ISO 500,

Gran.. Gran... photographer.
Both from the technical and expressive point of view.

But you also continue to like the flowers.

Original composition and courageous expression of one's own thought on the subject.
Actually, personally, what I see is depicted or reported nowadays, post pandemic and, unfortunately, war.
I think the only taboo is the taboo that our brain presents in its dark side, that side that sadly if not illuminated will transport us all into the sewer and into our own defecation.
Congratulations Silvia.

However, a liberating act.

Nice shot, a bit provocative, but in fact I think someone really has shit in their brain

Um I don't know. I understand the attraction to the unusual, and its use to get away from banality.
But I can find it difficult to find a link between the caption and the image.
Defecating as a private act is there, but I do not understand the taboo.
For me it is a perfectly natural process, just like death.
Then the connection between the head and the exhaust? Does it symbolize a form of "dumping" away toxic thoughts? Exactly how toxic are the substances we excrete.
Toxic or even wanting to refuse. The two things do not necessarily coincide.

Shot very nice and interesting caption, even if it has not always been so, the ancient Romans defecated quietly in the company chatting more and less.
In any case, congratulations.

I share Maserc's opinion, and I add: if you want to talk about a taboo in art, that taboo should have the courage to break it, and not disguise it with symbolic elements

Feng7 I understand criticism, after all dealing with certain topics always involves reactions, and all reactions in a certain sense accompany artistic expression and are part of it. But fairness requires me to say that my works do not want to "sensitize" on any issue. They are mere visual experiences where my experience, my anxieties and anxieties flow, my living in an unresolved way. I can no longer separate art from this. So strictly speaking I'm not camouflaging, I'm just seeing.

You see Silvia, conceptual photography is a type of photographic art that is initially conceived in the mind of the photographer and then staged to realize and communicate that vision, in practice what he is telling me.
Another point
, in the caption, she writes: 'Over time I realized that with my photography I showed that magical world of encounters and events that I saw in the crosshairs, which was always my mind, and now I want to show it without mediation'.
I ask you: aren't the objects you use artificial 'mediations'?
Finally, on the fact of not wanting to convey any message, well, let me say that it is not really so, just read his captions ...
I wish you a good evening
