Look at me! sent on April 09, 2013 (9:31) by Beppeverge. 15 comments, 1126 views.

1/1600 f/3.2, ISO 100, hand held.

Camminavo con la compatta in tasca ai bordi di un prato di crocus in fiore, fra tutti ne notai uno che gridava: "Guardami! Hei! Guarda me! Guarda me!" Mi avvicinai ed una goccia di rugiada scese lungo un petalo. Gli feci una bella foto ed una lacrima scese dentro di me. In un'altro momento o un posto diverso...chissà...

This play of light and shadows do not convince me, but it certainly draws the eye on the flower.
Great detail.

I understand what you mean Nymphalidae, there is an area behind the flower that looks like a spot light unnatural.
In reality all around, behind me, there were tall trees and the spot of light filtered through the branches, if you notice, there are other areas like little further.
At least this particular one is what I noticed too during the post and give me a little 'annoyance.
I vignettato all around in a very shaded to highlight the flower just as you've noticed.

This picture does not show it to the technical content, I used a compact, but for the meaning it has taken for me at the time of shooting.
I described in the caption.

Thanks for leaving a comment.

Great place to shoot, but I personally removed the black area at the top.

A beautiful fish to fry. As the setting I like, like lights you've already described the situation. I like the message you left on the written caption.

About the dark side up, in my opinion if it is cut, the shot loses a lot of depth.

Ivan, Enigma, thanks for the ride and comment.
Yes, I also believe the above, where the forest begins, gives depth to guess by the size of the lawn where he was this cute little flower.

Of course, in the macro this shot leaves a bit 'confused because it's a photo to read more with the heart than with the lens-pixel-count, but sometimes they are a bit' confused and do not know where to place the photo.
Thank you again.

The scene is entirely his, everything else goes out of focus, it darkens, recedes. Beppe, I really like.
All the best, Joseph.
