La casa automobilista anglo francese Talbot fu fondata da Adolphe Clement con il supporto finanziario di Lord Charles Chetwynd Talbot nel 1903 e fu attiva fino al 1997. Il modello AV 105 fu costruito dal 1931 al 1935 ed era dotato di un motore con 6 cilindri in linea di 2969 cm3 erogante 119 cavalli di potenza. Dopo il ritiro della casa madre dalle competizioni... nel 1932... alcune AV 105 vennero gestite da squadre private e concessionari così che vennero utilizzate in varie competizioni fino al 1938. In alcuni esemplari la potenza venne elevata fino a 125 cavalli.
