at 70mm, 1/250 f/6.3, ISO 400, hand held. Tre Cime di Lavaredo, Italy.

Most of the people taking pictures at the Cadini di Misurina, title their shots generically “Mordor”. This could be acceptable but, to be more precise, these mountains look more similar to the “Ephel Dúath”, large mountain ranges surrounding Mordor. Btw, did you know that Tolkien was inspired by the Italian Alps to create the Mordor morphology? Those peaks are so much harsh, severe and rough, that I had to edit the photo 4-5 times before getting the final result I had in mind. Too much dark even for me, and not easy (for my abilities) to pick up all the details they deserve to have. Last but not least, this is a quite different pov from the more popular IG photo of this location. Incredible mountains, incredible view, incredible Dolomites as always. Hope you like it!
