Dopo 26 anni dalla fine dei combattimenti nel Monte Grappa nel 1944 si consuma l'ennesima pazzia umana, quella del nazifascismo. Durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, ed in particolare nel periodo che va dalla caduta del fascismo (25 luglio 1943) al suo ritorno al potere dopo alcuni mesi (8 settembre), nel bassanese si formano le brigate partigiane antifasciste, che si concentrano per la maggior parte sul Massiccio del Grappa, in modo da controllare la Valsugana, via di collegamento della Germania con le forze naziste operanti in Italia.

Nel luglio del 1944, i nazi-fascisti rispondono alla guerriglia avviata dai partigiani con un tragico rastrellamento, nel quale impiegano15-20.000 uomini contro 1500 partigiani. In loro onore, vicino all'Ossario viene posta una statua in bronzo, il Monumento al Partigiano, opera dello scultore Augusto Murer.

Cippo a ricordo dei Caduti Partigiani.

Il Monumento al Partigiano, realizzato a memoria dei Partigiani della Seconda guerra mondiale caduti durante la Resistenza contro l'oppressione nazi-fascista. Il monumento è localizzato a circa 300 metri dal piazzale di arrivo della Caserma Milano, su uno sperone di roccia che affaccia sui terreni della Malga Ardosa.

L'opera si articola in un percorso obbligato che inizia dalla Strada Cadorna, con un sentiero pedonale, e dopo una sosta su due piazzole semicircolari-concentriche realizzate nello stile del sovrastante Sacrario, conduce, attraverso un camminamento intagliato nella roccia, ad una piazzola terminale ove è stata collocata una statua in bronzo opera dello scultore Augusto Murer.

L'accesso alla galleria risulta ostruito da una siepe di filo spinato. La lastra è nello stesso luogo dove sorge il monumento al Partigiano

La lastra di marmo, di forma irregolare, si trova apposta all'imboccatura della galleria nella quale, il 22 Settembre 1944, furono arsi vivi 7 partigiani durante le operazioni di rastrellamento operate dai nazifascisti sul massiccio del Grappa. I caratteri dell'epigrafe sono incisi nel marmo e riempiti con vernice di color nero.
Non sono riportati i nomi dei Caduti in quanto risultano ignoti i loro nomi.
