Il Borgo di Vigoleno, si impone per l'eleganza delle sue forme e per l'integrità del sistema difensivo. Certificato fra i Borghi più Belli d'Italia e Bandiera Arancione del Touring Club Italiano, Vigoleno costituisce un esempio perfetto della logica abitativa del medioevo. Sulle imponenti mura merlate, percorse in parte da un panoramico camminamento di ronda, spicca la mole del mastio (con quattro piani di visita). Dalla piazza principale, dove si trova la fontana cinquecentesca, andando verso est si raggiunge la chiesa romanica di San Giorgio, della seconda metà del XII secolo.
