Possiamo pensare a diversi modi per descrivere il fenomeno de «La Perellonà», che da novembre a gennaio modifica completamente il paesaggio dell'Albufera de Valencia, ma la cosa migliore è che tu venga a vederlo di persona. Ogni anno, con l'arrivo del freddo e dell'autunno, i contadini chiudono le chiuse della spiaggia di El Perelló che evacuano l'acqua dall'Albufera in modo che le risaie siano allagate per più di 2 mesi. Questa tecnica fa sì che questo lago naturale diventi il ??più grande della Spagna durante l'inverno, con una superficie di circa 17.500 ettari.
