Questo ponte si trova pochi metri appena oltre la stazione San Tommaso Del Piano nel territorio di Ruvo Del Monte (PZ). Attraversa il fiume Ofanto, collegando sulle due sponde la Basilicata e la Campania. Lo scatto è stato realizzato con Obiettivo Vivitar 17mm f/3.5, chiuso a f/11, montato con adattatore su Nikon Z5. La fotografia punta al centro dei binari dal piano ferroviario, con alle spalle Avellino (quindi verso Est). Il ponte ferroviario in ferro è a campata singola, di circa 80m di luce, ha due travi reticolari principali con briglia superiore curva ed inferiore rettilinea. La coppia di travi principali reticolari ha la particolarità di essere sfalsata planimetricamente di circa 5 m (misura pari anche alla larghezza del ponte). Pertanto le due travi, praticamente uguali, risultano una più avanti e l'altra arretrata. Il fatto che siano distanziate di una distanza pari circa alla larghezza del ponte, genera planimetricamente la singolare coincidenza che i diagonali di controventatura di piano risultano di fatto gli elementi di collegamenti dei montanti delle reticolari verticali. Cosa un po' complicata da descrivere in un testo. Il risultato finale a parere mio è di un'opera d'arte veramente suggestiva e singolare.
