Da www.napoligrafia.it/ La Chiesa del Santissimo Redentore si trova in Corso Vittorio Emanuele. La chiesa fu costruita all'inizio del XX secolo per volontà del nobile napoletano Francesco D'Ayala Valva, residente nel vicino palazzo D'Ayala che voleva donare un luogo di culto a quel tratto di strada. Il progetto fu affidato all'architetto Antonino Maresca di Serracapriola che pose la prima pietra il 5 giugno 1904 e concluse l'opera nel 1912. L'edificio, costruito ispirandosi allo stile paleocristiano, presenta una facciata costituita da due ordini. In basso troviamo il portale d'ingresso in bronzo, sormontato da una lunetta in cui è posto un bassorilievo raffigurante un agnello sacrificale, e gli stemmi nobiliari del casato D'Ayala Valva e della famiglia Grifeo. In alto, si apre una vetrata con arcate a tutto sesto, sormontato da una lapide e dal cornicione con archetti pensili. Inoltre, la chiesa è circondata da un giardino in stile Neoromanico e, alle sue spalle, si trova una torre campanaria alta 11 metri su cui è posta meridiana in marmo bianco
