E' forse il più noto e frequentato tra i ponti del Parco di Monza e prende il nome dalle catene di ferro che collegano tra loro i parapetti pieni. Caratterizzato da una base rettangolare e una lunghezza di 15 metri, si sviluppa in due campate su archi ribassati con spalle in muratura su due piani inclinati convergenti nel mezzo. Nel centro è possibile notare una decorazione tamponata a forma di oculo, anch'essa in laterizio. Il Ponte elle Catene situato lungo il viale della valle dei sospiri, fu costruito in stile neoclassico ed eclettico nel 1820 seguendo il progetto dell'architetto Luigi Canonica.
