la piccola chiesa dedicata a S. Maria nascente è sita su un colle naturale a "proteggere" l'abitato di Gromo S. Marino (frazione di Gandellino) in alta val Seriana- dopo la prima piccola costruzione risalente al XII secolo fu ricostituita nel XIV secolo grossomodo con questo aspetto- rigorosamente con i tetti in sintonia con l'abitato è sempre ben tenuta dalla passione dei valligiani del piccolo paese - io stesso ho origini di questi luoghi da parte del nonno paterno- questi luoghi e le imponenti montagne sovrastanti le sento "mie"
