Greed! sent on March 29, 2013 (7:46) by Memy. 18 comments, 1478 views.

con Canon EF 1.4x II, 1/500 f/4.0, ISO 160, hand held. NgoroNgoro, Tanzania.

I think this great picture deserves an extensive description of the scene
the stork has been plundered or died?

GRazie Maurizio!

Thanks Maurizio!
We have observed only seeing it in the air and had something between their legs then we quickly identified as the head of stork and so we 've reached the branch where he was laid.
I have no idea what it was but I think the stork usccesso stat was preyed upon by a small feline type serval and caracal and 'eagle accapparrata had a surplus.

Most likely it is a young eagle screamer.
I really like the photo

Grazie Mauroc, Robbyone77, e Kimera69 :-P

Thanks MauroC, Robbyone77, and Kimera69:-P
L 'I thought too but I'm not sure Mauro: I remember an immature footgrafato in Uganda a few years ago and in fact can look like him but, in addition to having photographed in an area where I do not remember ever having seen and certainly does not have the characteristics of 'typical environment ... at least in my memory seemed much bigger, if I remember correctly this was the size of an eagle bird of prey ..

Confirmed! it is a young eagle less than Hartmann!
or rather, that was what I had said to laugh at my "unsuspecting" fellow travelers .... :-P:-P
Actually I also confirmed the 'friend Nico, the identification of Mauro: it is a young African Fish Eagle also called Howler eagle (Haliaeetus vocifer). Clearly, the concerns related to the size were unfounded .....

Nitida, poco nitida, nitidissima.....gran bella foto in ogni caso! Solo complimenti!

Sharp, blurred, razor sharp ..... very good picture anyway! Mean, however, be in the right place at the right time. This divrebbe be the spirit of those who deal with naturalistic photography! Only compliments!

Grazie Gig !!

Thanks Gig!
I also think that the scene takes precedence over technical perfection but it is also true that when the two coincide is the best ;-)
