Grazie a tutti degli interventi, non saprei dirvi il perchè di questa scelta compositiva, non penso ad alcuna regola prestabilita quando scatto ma seguo solo l'immagine nella mia mente.. in questo caso credo di avere voluto esaltare la situazione come mi si presentava: il soggetto era vicino e dietro aveva questa distesa di acqua spazzolata dal vento. Un'alternativa invece poteva essere certamente quella che suggerite.
Thanks to all of the action, I could not tell you why this compositional choice, I do not think any rule pre-snap but when I follow only the image in my mind .. In this case, I think I wanted to enhance the situation as it presented itself to me: the subject was close behind and had this expanse of water swept by the wind. An alternative could instead be certainly one that suggested. Io invece apprezzo molto perché la foto così assume un'aria molto malinconica, fuori dai classici schemi di noi maschietti che fotografiamo avifauna.

Immagino quindi che di fronte al soggetto non c'era acqua ma altri elementi che avrebbero disturbato la scena?
