Nel lato occidentale del Parco degli Elcini sono ancora visibili i resti dell'antico acquedotto romano, fatto ricostruire da Filippo I Colonna, duca di Paliano, per fornire acqua al Castello Colonna. La parte terminale dell'acquedotto, utilizzato anche come ponte per l'accesso al castello, venne distrutta dai bombardamenti dell'ultima guerra. L'acquedotto fu poi ricostruito ad una sola campata di cemento armato, dal Genio Civile. L'antico acquedotto convogliava le sorgenti di Colle S. Andrea fino alla fontana del Palazzo alla quale attingeva tutta la popolazione.
