L'Alfa romeo 6C 1750 venne prodotta in diverse versioni e varianti dal 1929 al 1933: alcune furono preparate dalle Carrozzerie Zagato e Touring site in Milano. La versione Gran Sport Spider Zagato qui visibile in fotografia era dotata di un motore con 6 cilindri in linea di 1752 cm3 che erogando 65 cavalli di potenza portava la vettura a superare i 130 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Il 13 aprile 1930… Domenica delle Palme… Tazio Nuvolari e Giovanni Battista Guidotti a bordo di un'Alfa Romeo 6C 1750… come questa visibile nella fotografia… e con il numero di gara 84… presero il via per la 1000 Miglia che poi vinsero in 16 ore e 19 minuti ad una media di oltre 100 chilometri orari. La presente fotografia venne scattata nottetempo con l'ausilio di un lampeggiatore Nikon SB-800.
