ci sono animali con cui siamo in particolar modo legati personalmente, vuoi perchè sono i nostri soggetti preferiti o, come in questo caso, perchè sono entrati nella mostra vita per caso ma in modo dirompente. E' la storia di Rika, la caretta caretta trovata nelle acque di Naxos da me e Yiannis Orfanos (presidente dell'associazione Naxos Island Wildlife Protection), ferita gravemente alla testa, ricordo ancora ogni secondo di quei giorni, da quando l'abbiamo portata a riva, poi a casa di Yiannis per le prime cure, il mio viaggio con lei in traghetto sino al Pireo dove ci aspettavano i volontari dell'associazione Archelon, da l'abbiamo accompagnata sino al centro recupero tartarughe.
