Sono da sempre convinto che un grande scatto , per essere considerato tale , debba avere alle spalle una grande storia da raccontare . Ebbene , questo scatto ce l'ha . A molti di voi potrebbe sembrare una foto qualunque, eppure , vi assicuro che una foto qualunque non è . Questo scatto per me rappresenta REALMENTE, il raggiungimento di un sogno , sogno che iniziò ormai molti anni fa . Durante il mio percorso , come fotografo naturalista, mi è capitato di imbattermi nel lupo in numero occasioni , tuttavia il 99% degli incontri che ho avuto negli anni con questo animale , erano concentrati all'interno di aree naturali protette. Da quando ho iniziato a praticare questo hobby invece , il mio sogno segreto è sempre stato quello di vedere camminare questo predatore , ed immortalarlo , alla porta di casa mia . A due passi da casa in altre parole. Per anni ho seguito le sue tracce , per anni ho condotto uscite e appostamenti di ore , al caldo , al freddo , all'alba al tramonto . Sempre sognando il giorno in cui da quella radura , sarebbe uscito lui , il lupo . Ormai era diventato un'ossessione per me , me lo vedevo di continuo attraversare i sentieri di casa , me lo immaginavo ovunque e i suoi occhi magnetici apparivano perfino nei miei sogni . All'improvviso, circa un anno fa , le mie fatiche cominciarono a prendere forma , quando cominciai ad imbattermi in segni di presenza più consistenti. Tanto che , riuscì ad avvistarlo di persona (di sfuggita) , ma non a fotografarlo . Da quel momento ho iniziato a girare come un pazzo , fino a che non sarebbe arrivato finalmente il giorno in cui avrebbe deciso di mostrarsi ai miei occhi per lasciarsi ritrarre come meritava . Quel giorno è infine arrivato una settimana fa , dove per diversi giorni ho avuto la possibilità di osservare e fotografare il branco a distanza (anche ravvicinata ) e a godere di momenti di bellezza e gioia indescrivibile. Perché fotografare questo animale nei pressi di casa mia è così speciale ? Non so , forse perché abito lontano da qualunque oasi, parco o area protetta , forse perchè questi lupi sono riusciti a cavarsela districandosi in condizioni davvero estreme , fra cacciatori , strade trafficate , pascoli, pastori poco pazienti e bracconieri della peggior specie . Forse queste foto sono il simbolo della forza del lupo e di questo animale , che ce la sta facendo , anche dove tutto gli dice che non è benvenuto , non per tutti almeno , per me lo siete sicuramente è non mi stancherò mai di cercarvi .
