il Namib desert è costituito da dune di quarzo rosso ed è spettacolare oltre che per le dimensioni per i contrasti tra erba secca e colori delle dune- Sussusvlei culmina in un antico lago prosciugato dove è rimasta una crosta salina con alcuni alberi morti - è uno dei luoghi simbolo della Namibia - a volte difficile da raggiungere per il rischio di insabbiarsi con i fuoristrada come è successo ad alcuni che stavano transitando con noi.
