Nel momento in cui mi è apparso quel frammento di verde illuminato ho avuto quasi l'impressione di trovarmi davanti a qualcosa di sacro, quasi fosse un oggetto di un culto antichissimo. La luce concentrata in quel punto era come un'indicazione di ciò che potrebbe avere estremo valore, la semplice essenza naturale. Lavorare troppo l'immagine sarebbe stato per me come negare il suo stesso significato, oltre al fatto che non avrei saputo come rendere in altro modo quel significato. È vero che ho tentato proprio accentuando il contrasto tra ciò che è scuro e poco visibile, e ciò che invece viene illuminato.
