Dalla cima del Pan di Zucchero si era davvero sul tetto del mondo, persino il Monviso era (letteralmente) a portata di mano. Escursione non facile, non tanto per l'ascesa ma sopratutto per il terreno impervio e il sentiero non battuto. Il problema più grosso è stato il ritorno, ma il tramonto da lassù (3209m) e' qualcosa di impagabile e vagamente percepibile in foto.
