Le Porsche 911 Carrera in versione Targa (Targa significa che il solo tettuccio è asportabile) costruite dal 1966 al 1993 erano dotate di motori con il raffreddamento ad aria. La versione visibile in fotografia fu costruita dal 1984 al 1989 ed era spinta da un motore dotato di 6 cilindri di 3164 cm3 in configurazione boxer... posizionato posteriormente... che sviluppando 231 cavalli di potenza portava la vettura fino 245 chilometri di velocità massima. La vettura qui visibile era stata in servizio presso la Polizia di Stato dell'Olanda dal 1989 al 1991... dove in circa 30 anni di Porsche 911 Carrera in versione Targa ne sono state utilizzate circa 500 esemplari.
