This shoot is a little revenge. Four years ago, I went in Namibia and one of the shoot I would make was a startrail in the Sossusvlei desert, but unfortunately was impossible. As soon as I saw this location from the web_ph a lightbulb lightened up in my mind, and I saw the opportunity to try the same shoot. The place is Porto Pino in Sardinia, Italy, but the location is strangely similar to Namibia: white sand, fossilized trees, and pitch black sky as in the desert. I made a 2 hours location scouting in the afternoon, with photopills discovering a lot of possible framing. One was the opportunity of putting the polar behind my trees. The final shoot is a staking of 90 shoot for the foreground and a startrail made from more than 400 shot for the sky.
