A real pity that they could not safeguard such a historic tree. :-( I hope that he will also win this battle for life. Great document Joseph. ;-)

It is incredible to see its millenary majesty destroyed in a very short time, the hope you have given is faint but we all wish that the olive tree of Cuglieri can save itself from this immense tragedy.
A greeting Loris

A world of crazy, I have never believed in self-combustion, those responsible deserve the same treatment. It would just be a gain for everyone.
Che sadness!!!
Ciao Fausto

Of course to safeguard these things we arrive ifmtre too late, had been in danger a football match did not mind expenses, forgive the controversy but it is so.
I hope that the olive tree having overcome 2000 obstacles finds the strength to overcome this too....
Hello my friend

Thanks x sharing Giuseppe, frankly I deliberately avoided the news and whatnot in this period , not to make the ostrich but the sense of helplessness in the face of these tragedies only makes me sick.
valued for Sardinia as now for Puglia and Sicily.

Man: the most intelligent and self-harming creature ever to exist on earth. We are blinded by the god of money, by profit at any cost, and only now are we realizing (not all of them alas) the irreversible damage we have caused. The image and your report make my heart bleed. You know Joseph how much I love your land. The disasters "announced" only an advance of what will await us; what will we bequeath to future generations? The wounds of "our Vaia" are still open, horrible, perhaps it will take dozens and dozens of years to recover them, but the scars will remain forever. Mother Nature is warning us, but maybe we are like the three little monkeys: blind, deaf and dumb.
bye gios ;-)

:-( Dearest Joseph......
I don't want to tell you I'm sorry...... because it seems trivial to me... but.... especially because this great wound makes all of us suffer ....
All of us Italians who live in a unique and beautiful nation without borders or regions
Our beautiful Sardinia is our beautiful Sardinia ...... we speak different dialects.... but when we win the Europeans.... and the medals we exult All together in the same way
E when these indescribable things happen we feel hurt all together
E I am sure that all the beautiful people of this community think like me
All together we must react to the help of our beautiful Sardinia .... without forgetting that even the beautiful Sicily was equally affected .....
A dear greeting
Stefano

Let's hope it lives on.
I do not think like my friend Stefano, ours is unfortunately a people that finds itself only for trifles such as Europeans or other nonsense compared to events like these, the indignation of a few is not enough to cure the evil of many (evil is also indifference). Greetings

How sad and angry.... let us hope that the great old man will be able to overcome this immense tragedy as well. Thank you for sharing
A warm greeting
Paola
