Sunday è un ragazzo nigeriano di ventotto anni. Oggi vive in Emilia Romagna, con un permesso di soggiorno ed un lavoro sicuro. Tuttavia proviene da un passato di paura, perdita, guerra e coraggio. Sunday dopo pochi mesi dalla nascita conosce subito il terrore della guerra, un soldato lo ferisce all'occhio rendendolo cieco. Quando compirà quattordici anni trova i suoi genitori uccisi in casa dalle forze dell'ordine mussulmane. Qui inizia il suo viaggio in cerca di salvezza. Attraversa il deserto che arriva in Libia dove riesce ad imbarcarsi, ma dopo qualche miglia viene riportato nel suolo libanese ed arrestato. Dopo un mese di carcere, esce e raggiunge la Sicilia poi Bologna in un centro di accoglienza. Poi si trasferisce a Cattolica dove la sua vita si forma poco a poco. Dopo alcuni lavoretti, ora lavora in un azienda vicino l'aeroporto di Rimini e qui ha trovato anche l'ospitalità e l'umanità di una famiglia Italiana. Sunday oggi è segnato dal suo passato ma è un ragazzo libero e riconoscente per la sua nuova vita.
