Spider vs. ant sent on March 20, 2013 (17:59) by Cristian Arghius. 56 comments, 15801 views.  [editors pick] [retina]

ISO 200, tripod.

Late afternoon 35 stacked natural light exposures at ISO 200 of a small crab spider and its victim - an unfortunate ant. Not the best conditions for stacking, warm and breezy - if I can recall well, but the result is acceptable considering the many failed attempts at these subjects. See below. Photographed on 26.09.2011. Equipment used: Nikon D7000, Nikon PB-6 bellows, Leitz Photar 80/5.6 lens.

Cristian great job!
With subjects so small and especially moving because he was having lunch, must not have been easy to get your result!
Congratulations! ;-)

Yes, this was a lucky one because the spider didn't move too much. Sorriso

OMG! Great, really great photo! Do you use any automatisms for the focus stack? I mean .. 35 photos are a lot and the spider was not sleeping.
