Villa Cerri, detta anche la "Villa degli Amanti Maledetti", Lomellina. Villone abbandonato in mezzo ai campi di riso, vicino ad una strada provinciale (la 193 se non sbaglio). Mi sono fermata con un collega durante una trasferta da quelle parti, e non abbiamo saputo resistere al suo fascino. L'edificio è tutto sommato tenuto bene, abbiamo scoperto che il tetto è stato rifatto, come pure la bella vetrata della torre (dalla quale sembra filtrare della luce innaturale, nella foto). Girano molte leggende, tra le quali la più chiacchierata riguarda un omicidio-suicidio avvenuto nel 1912, perpetrato dal padrone di casa che sorprese la moglie in compagnia di un giovine e avvenente stalliere. Leggenda smentita da una vecchia cartolina ingiallita datata 1931, che mostra la villa appena inaugurata con davanti un uomo, il proprietario, un tale Signor Cerri appunto. La famiglia decise poi di vendere casa e terreno quando l'erede morì in un incidente d'auto. La leggenda degli amanti probabilmente deriva da una tresca amorosa nata tra due ex dipendenti di Villa Cerri. Oggi, la tenuta e i campi di riso attorno sono di Francesco Sempio, fondatore nel 1970 di un noto gruppo alimentare leader della produzione di riso al livello internazionale.
