Yes but perhaps to have an adequate audience better than looking for subjects on the Adriatic to be presented in another section :-( . dispiriting!

A great example of medieval art, well proposed.
The painting of the 1300s - as well as sculpture - maintains a particular charm, in its somewhat naïve forms, in gilding and applied symbolism.
I.E. as well as a cultured audience had to speak to illiterate or almost illiterate masses.
Bellissima la Maddalena with very long hair at the foot of the cross.
This we know... to the heart you are not commanding! (the Adriatic)

it's always nice to see well-portrayed artwork like this one.
As for the rest you should know that there are genres that have much more following and consensus but you should not care , the dissatisfaction and gratification you have to find in yourself and in your shot
I like it and I look at all genres even those very far from mine.
congratulations

Thank you Enrico, that's how I know :-) . Associating then a visit to the churches and convents that housed these masterpieces, whenever possible, is a huge additional experience.

The description is missing the group beyond Longino; it is the priests of the Temple who finally realized who the crucifix was.
