at 24mm, 1/160 f/3.5, ISO 50, hand held. Vitorchiano, Italy.

Interamente realizzata in peperino, la fontana è formata da una grande vasca circolare con scolpiti archetti trilobati. Nel tempietto centrale, sorretto da una tozza colonna con capitello a foglie larghe, vi sono scolpiti i simboli dei quattro evangelisti (l'Angelo S. Matteo, l'Aquila S. Giovanni, il Leone S. Marco e il Toro S. Luca). Sullo scudo araldico centrale vi è lo stemma di Roma S.P.Q.R. La fontana termina con un'alta guglia di forma ottagonale sormontata da un fiore stilizzato. Rappresenta uno straordinario esempio di vitalità costruttiva che rimanda al carattere dell'epoca di costruzione, imperniata sul valore simbolico dell'arte e dell'architettura.
