L'attuale edificio datato al 1173 è frutto di maestranze romanico-lombarda che si innalza sui resti di una più antica fondazione religiosa, il Duomo altomedievale, costruito nel settimo secolo quando Montefeltro (San Leo) eretto a “civitas” divenne sede di una nuova diocesi. Pianta a croce latina con navate a transetto, cripta e ampio presbitero rialzato. La Cattedrale non è solo uno scrigno del suo tempo ma è anche un esempio di ottima acustica, apprezzata da artisti che vi hanno diretto e suonato come Uto Ughi, Salvatore Accardo ed Ennio Morricone. #notturno
