Fin dal 1951 l'Alfa Romeo costruì degli autotelai da destinare a carrozzerie esterne che così potevano assemblarvi sopra carrozzerie di loro progettazione. La 1900 C Super Sprint visibile in fotografia fu realizzata dalla Carrozzeria Touring di Milano che ne costruì pure diversi esemplari in versione Spider per un totale di circa 850 vetture nel triennio 1956-58. Vi era montato un propulsore con 4 cilindri in linea di 1975 cm3 che erogando 115 cavalli di potenza permetteva alla vettura di raggiungere i 180 chilometri orari di velocità massima. Alla guida della vettura qui visibile vi è John Philip Jacob Elkann… presidente di Stellantis, Exor, CNH Industrial, Ferrari e Juventus FC. E' nipote di Giovanni “Gianni” Agnelli… “l'Avvocato” e fratello maggiore di Lapo Edovard e Ginevra Elkann. Al suo fianco siede la bellissima consorte Lavinia Ida Borromeo Arese Taverna.
