Hi, I like it!, very much the diagonal of light that illuminates the trees and splits the scene in two

Hello!!
Ottima photo, I agree on the beautiful diagonal of light. Maybe I would have expanded the frame down a bit (if possible) to valorize the lake.
Buona evening

Massimo and Pierluigi meanwhile thank you for the passage.
As far as framing is concerned, I tried several, even in the post, the main choice was to cut high to exclude a piece of sky.
The lake at the bottom I left just one strip because, being quite "peeled", I didn't want it to distract too much from the diagonal of the trees.
Howeis they are definitely experiments, so every tip I get is gold cast. :-)

Beautiful light caressing the foliage of the trees... here too, according to my taste, the bn can be improved
Compliments Giorgio

The light is very beautiful and fits very well into the natural setting, I also find the glitter of the water interesting, who knows why then I would like to see this color shot.
A flower greeting. :-)

This photo took very little banging, I was basically with my girlfriend and our cat taking a ride around the lakes, the reflex was in the backpack until I saw these hairs light up and without any moving too much I snapped.
Uniche photos taken throughout the day :-P
@Fiorenzo I put you the link to the color photo with some changed parameters (especially the exposure I lowered) before working on it in bn.

I really like the composition the cut and the b/n, the light on the canopy of the trees is very beautiful, maybe I would open the shadows a little bit on the trees below.
A dear greeting
Paola

Hi Paola thank you for the passage.
I thought a lot about how much to open the shadows (or rather how much to close them) of the trees at the bottom, in my idea I wanted the reading of the trees to be enough but as closed as possible to increase the contrast with the illuminated trees.
't know if I did it.
A greeting, George :-)

In my opinion, slightly more open shadows would have accompanied the look softer to the illuminated trees giving it more prominence. With the shadows so closed, an almost sharp detachment is created that interrupts the gaze towards the illuminated trees.
This in my personal opinion, then the photo must please you and your interpretation. I allowed myself to express my opinion because in the caption you said you were asking for opinions.
A greeting
Paola

But you did absolutely well, indeed I really appreciate it and I agree with you that the open shadows would have harmonized better with the trees in the light.
I was not very accustomed to the bn I focused almost exclusively on increasing that blade of light neglecting the rest.
Soes again thanks :-)

I would have made those shadows even darker, black with the only foliage of the trees and the reflections on the water.
Howee I don't find black and white an added value for this particular image.
I prefer it in color
The square format is also too obvious given the diagonal.
Sure you messed up even more ideas I greet you very dearly :-D

After almost 5 years on the forum I received a comment from the Commissioner, I am excited :-|
This "busy gallery" serves as :-D
Sine meanwhile thank you for your intervention, for the shadows I see two schools of thought and I would say that I did not satisfy either :-D
My idea was to close anyway.
For the format, yes, let's say I opted for a classic choice, I have to admit that fantasy is definitely not my highlight.
Thane for the passage, I always look forward to your new publications, a dear greeting, Giorgio.
