VENTO è l'acronimo della ciclovia Venezia – Torino, fortemente sostenta, fin dal 2010, dal Politecnico di Milano. Questo percorso ciclabile che si sviluppa prevalentemente sugli argini del fiume Po, attualmente consta di parti già realizzate, parti in corso di realizzazione, altre ancora in fase di progettazione. Per sostenere l'iniziativa e coinvolgere il governo e le realtà locali toccate dalla ciclabile che si prefigge di sostenere il turismo lento in paesi e città ricche di storia e di tradizioni culturali e culinarie e bellezze architettoniche, ma lontane dalle grandi vie di comunicazione, il Politecnico, ogni anno, organizza un tour ciclistico da Torino a Venezia al quale possono partecipare non solo gli studenti universitari, ma anche i comuni cittadini amanti della bici. Nel corso del 2019, prima della pandemia, il tour, a cui avevano aderito circa 180 persone, si è svolto in due weekend lunghi, dal venerdì al lunedì compreso. Nel corso del primo weekend di metà maggio, in quattro tappe di circa 60/70 km cad., i partecipanti, partiti da Torino, hanno raggiunto Piacenza. Nel corso del secondo weekend (fine maggio primi di giugno) la carovana è ripartita da Reggio Emilia e in quattro tappe ha raggiunto Venezia. Nella foto pubblicata si vede un passaggio della carovana sull'argine maestro del Po tra S. Benedetto Po e Bondeno.
