La Speed 20 venne costruita in 4 Serie dal 1931 al 1936 nelle versioni Berlina, Cabriolet, Coupé e Turismo nello stabilimento della Alvis Car and Engineering Company situato a Coventry in Gran Bretagna. La SC visibile in fotografia fu costruita dal 1935 ed aveva un motore dotato di 6 cilindri in linea che erogando 87 cavalli di potenza permettevano alla vettura di oltrepassare i 140 chilometri orari di velocità massima.
