La Bugatti Automobiles fu fondata dall'italiano Ettore Isidoro Arco Bugatti (1881 – 1947) nel 1909 a Molsheim… un comune dell'Alsazia… in Francia. La Type 35… visibile in questa fotografia… venne prodotta espressamente per gareggiare nel triennio 1924/26 in poco meno di 100 esemplari. Era dotata di un motore con 8 cilindri in linea di 1991 cm3 che erogando circa 100 cavalli di potenza permetteva alla vettura di raggiungere una velocità massima di circa 185 chilometri orari. Il cambio di velocità era dotato di 4 marce. A Paranà... nella Repubblica Argentina... vi è l'azienda Pur Sang che costruisce e commercializza repliche di vetture d'epoca fra cui la Bugatti Type 35.
