1/100 f/20.0, ISO 12800, tripod.

Hi Daniele,
a question: by "telextender 2x" you mean a telextender quite long, so much so that you enlarge the planet's disk twice as much?
I ask you why I'm experimenting with these tubes, too. with about twenty cm I got a magnification of about 36%.
thane :)

Hi Serafino,
The telextender in question is this. I have to say, I feel very good about it. It is telecentric so the magnification factor is always 2x regardless of the distance from the sensor.
Ciao, Daniele

Ah okay, Barlow so ;)
'm probably going to buy one myself at the end. maybe at the next jovian opposition,
x now I wanted to look for the limit with extension tubes: maximize without adding "glass" between the telescope and the sensor. let's see how far I can ;)

Hi Serafino,
now I realized that you were referring to extension tubes without lenses! ;-)
Interesting... I've never used that kind of solution, so I can't tell you...
I saw in your gallery that you have a C8... eh, I too would like to move on to a little more opening at some point, but in the meantime I practice with makkino which is a lot of satisfaction! 8-)
I also look forward to Jupiter's next opposition... if I'm not mistaken in August... I've seen in astronomy apps that Jupiter is going to be huge!!! :-o
Reas much when I took the telextender Jupiter was now far from the opposition and I had no opportunity to photograph it... I did rehearsals with my Fuji without the telextender, and also with a monochrome planetary chamber of a friend. Here is the link to the two results: photos.app.goo.gl/1ooGiRdk2spP33Nt9
ciao,
Daniele

squeezing x well the Mak, it seems to me that he knows the fact of ;) he
behaves well in fact.
beautiful the two jupiters you posted :) I hope to get to those results as well.
among the future projects there is the purchase of a planetary chamber, but for now I practice what I have.
if you wanted to try extension tubes too, I recently found some really advantageous offers on amazon.
I also did a systematic job x understand the ratio of magnification to tube length.
thought I'd post it, but juzaphoto I don't think is the place to fit. we'll see....
ciao

Hi Serafino,
thankly a thousand comments!
In fact juzaphoto is perhaps not the right place to post the technical tests, but if you place your systematic work on the extension tubes, surely at least I appreciate it! ;-)
ciao, Daniel

Thank you very much Fabio! ;-)
I take the opportunity to tell you that I made a definitive version with the colors finally adjusted to the best:

Now the colors (but not the detail! ;-) ) are analogous to certain networked images made by the Hubble Space Telescope, with white rings and the capuchin-colored planet

And here is an image of Hubble taken on July 4, 2020:

I agree, it seems even more beautiful to me with these colors.
notevolissimo the result in consideration of the very small part of the sensor occupied by the planet (if I did not hurt the calculations 0.364mm equal to 100px in diameter about !)

I find it beautiful....... and exciting......
A great job yours....congratulations

Hi Stefano, thank you so much I'm glad you like it!
Fabio: yes, you did the math well. In this image I had done stacking with 3x drizzle option so the final image is enlarged by a factor of 3. But the original photos are such that the planet has a diameter of about 70 pixels, and the distance between the two extreme tips of the rings is about 150 pixels! When you say... every pixel counts! ;-)
Ciao, Daniele
