Thank you Pigi, you are not an Italian butterfly but I think American, I do not remember precisely.

Hello Daniele, one of my first outdoor close ups using the technique of increasing the draft;
thanks Bo si certain butterflies have very particular drawn geometries that often and willingly are adaptations to evade predators

it's Smyrna blomflidia (so google lens suggests) too bad it's missing a thread of parallelism but good anyway

Good evening Gio, first of all as a little more than a beginner in macrophotography I thank you very much for the compliments and in addition for making me remember the concept of parallelism, which honestly it is a while that I have not applied in my close ups, it is something I have to pay attention to, also because freehand without micrometric slides is already very difficult moreover if one neglects these notions ... Good evening and I hope to see you soon ;)

well!, I'm trying to improve too... By doing so,

The imperfect parallelism is not very noticeable, just a little on the tip of the wing on the right and it is not so annoying. It's a good image that lacks a natural perch, but if it landed on that surface you couldn't do anything about it.

An unusual butterfly on an equally unusual perch, perhaps it was an office moth...
technically I agree with what Ribefra wrote!
