Gian Carlo Minardi… classe 1947… è un'imprenditore nativo di Faenza (Ra) il cui padre Giovanni aveva aperto la prima concessionaria Fiat in Italia… nel 1927. Nel 1972 Gian Carlo entrò nel mondo delle corse automobilistiche gestendo la Scuderia del Passatore che fu attiva nei Campionati di Formula Italia e Formula 3 mentre nel 1979 fondò il Minardi Team per gareggiare prima in Formula 2… e poi in Formula 1 dal 1985… Campionato in cui rimase fino al 2005. Gian Carlo è ambasciatore ACI Storico e Presidente della Commissione Velocità di ACI Sport. Alla fine del 2020 è stato eletto Presidente nel Consiglio di Amministrazione della Società Formula Imola… Ente che gestisce l'Autodromo Internazionale di Imola (Bo)… dedicato ad Enzo e Dino Ferrari.
