Thank you all, I'm still adjusting the shot with both the new machine (I also have Sony) but I returned to Canon having kept all the EF lenses. And in the end I did well :-D The 500 f/4 IS II and 300 f/2.8 L IS II work great, not even comparing with Sony and the various MC-11s and Metabones. I sold the 1Dx Mark II and managed with various offers to take both the R5 and the R6 on the BG and two adapters. There are a few things that leave the long-old issue of spot metering unattached to the focus point to be desired, which Sony also has on entry levels.
