ho volontariamente scelto di "congelare" il movimento delle onde sui ghiacci, per valorizzare l'impetuosità con cui l'oceano si scaglia all'alba su tutto quello che rimane degli iceberg sulla nera sabbia, che dopo mesi di navigazione finiscono la loro storia su questa spiaggia.
Una lunga esposizione avrebbe tolto dettaglio e non era l'effetto che volevo ottenere.
Inoltre, una "troppo" lunga esposizione era impossibile da realizzare in quanto le onde chiaramente muovevano anche gli iceberg, e quindi anche questi sarebbero risultati mossi nella foto.

I have deliberately chosen to "freeze" the motion of the waves on the ice, to enhance the impetuosity with which the ocean throws at dawn on all that remains of the iceberg on the black sand, which after months at sea end their history of this beach.
Long-term exposure would take away detail and it was not the effect I wanted to achieve.
In addition, a "too" long exposure was impossible to achieve because the waves clearly also moved icebergs, and therefore also these results would be moved in the picture. Ciao Masp74, e grazie per il passaggio!

Concordo con chi mi ha preceduto, una delle migliori foto viste ultimamente; i colori ed il contrasto del ghiaccio sono pazzeschi e lo scatto rende bene l'impeto del mare

che foto! ma la sabbia è così nera da sembrare non esserci per niente? sembrano cristalli di swarovski appoggiati su un velluto nero. posto spettacolare, bravo te ad andarci e bravissimo a ricavarne uno scatto del genere.

Grazie nuovamente a tutti quanti per i bellissimi commenti! riguardo la sabbia, e' nera in quanto tutte (a parte una) le spiagge d'Islanda sono in realta' formate da tefrite (soprattutto lava) vulcanica sgretolata, portata a valle e depositata dagli agenti atmosferici. Dove e' bagnata assume quindi una colorazione nera molto profonda.
Ho scelto di fare questo scatto all'alba (4.30) per poter esaltare i riflessi della luce del sole nei ghiacci e l'incredibile colorazione che il cielo assume in quei preziosi istanti.
Thanks again to everyone for the wonderful comments! about the sand, and 'black as all (except one) the beaches of Iceland' have been formed by tephra (especially lava) volcanic crumbled, carried downstream and deposited by atmospheric agents. Where 'wet then assumes a black color very deep.
I chose to do this shot at dawn (4.30) in order to enhance the reflection of sunlight on the ice and the incredible color that the sky takes in those precious moments.
