at 16mm, 1/1000 f/7.1, ISO 100, hand held. Monte Piana, Italy.

In effetti così era.

Dear friend Loris, with these images, the captions make us relive our history and how much courage our Soldiers have had. The "Daring", those who were called "the tired of trenches", those who with courage but also fears were ready to assault but by methods other than normal using real strategies combined with un common courage.
Even technology is of great help to our "Daring" but there is no valid technology if inside you do not have the same courage, method, reflection and even a pinch of good-natured "madness" that can successfully accomplish a mission.
After all, life is all a mission.
Thane Loris for the stunning photo and engaging tale.
A dear greeting
Franco

A beautiful is important reportage Loris, very detailed in detail.
In my humble opinion, in middle school, children should study and understand these dramatic events.
Compliments.

The first time I climbed the Plain I was just over twenty years old and fresh school reminscences ... I remember feeling a deep emotion and pain falling into the drama of my peers of the time, whether they were alpine or gebirgsjager ...
Sincere rewards for your articulate and comprehensive Work Loris!!!
