Ecco in veste invernale Punta Martin, 1001 metri sul mare, la regina tra le cime intorno a Voltri. Non tanto per l'altezza ( per quello abbiamo il Monte Reixa, maestosa montagna sullo spartiacque appenninico che arriva a 1183 metri ) quanto per la bellezza della sua salita. Arrivare in vetta per la via normale diretta vuol dire affrontare un paio di passaggi ( peraltro non esposti...) dove occorre usare le mani: e questo da' davvero una grande soddisfazione... Sulla destra il Monte Pietralunga ( la Baiarda per noi genovesi...) questo si' con vie alpinistiche, molto di moda negli anni intorno al 1930: e si vede bene il torrione iniziale con la cosiddetta "Cresta Whimper" , nome datale dal primo salitore Gino Musso.
