Non nobis Domine, non nobis, sed nomini tuo da gloriam è il motto dei Cavalieri templari dell'Ordo Templi e significa: "Non a noi, o Signore, non a noi, ma al tuo nome dai gloria". ---------------- Questa è una vera cerimonia templare alla quale ho avuto la fortuna di assistere qualche anno fa nella chiesetta templare di Santa Maria Mercede a Norbello una piccola chiesa romanica in pietra vulcanica dove sono presenti al suo interno sulle pareti iscrizioni e numerosi graffiti rossi e croci templari dipinte. Flussi di pellegrinaggio verso i maggiori santuari della Cristianità e le fondazioni dei vari Milites Christi, portarono alla creazione anche nell'Isola di costruzioni collegate, o solo stilisticamente influenzate, a quel fermento ideale e culturale. Come sarebbero giunti in Sardegna i Templari? C'è chi dice attraverso i Pisani, che insieme ai Genovesi contribuivano a tenere lontano lo spauracchio dell'invasione Saracena dall'isola, dando man forte al Giudice di Torres.
