San Gregorio Armeno non è la strada da scoprire soltanto a Natale quale luogo delle botteghe di presepi. E' un luogo che appartiene al Dna di Napoli dove la storia sociale, artistica e religiosa si è consumata sino a giungere ai nostri giorni consegnandoci uno de monumenti religiosi ed artistici più straordinari al mondo. Vi è il complesso monumentale di San Gregorio Armeno che sorge sopra una delle vie sacre di Neapolis, la città greca e quindi poi, città romana, nei pressi delle rovine dell'antica Basilica Augustale. E' la chiesa dove si venera ancora oggi Santa Patrizia, una nobile che da Costantinopoli giunse a Napoli per consacrarsi a Dio, è compatrona di Napoli ed il suo sangue si scioglie miracolosamente più volte l'anno. Ogni martedì la celebrazione delle ore 9.30 si conclude con l'esposizione del suo sangue. In molte occasioni il sangue si scioglie.
