Qualche anno fa con alcuni amici mi sono recato in Inghilterra nel Lincolnshire (Donna Nook) per fotografare le foche grige nel periodo in cui le femmine partoriscono durante il mese di novembre. Dopo un breve tratto attraversando la bassa marea in un'acqua alta sui venti trenta centimetri ci si trovava su un banco di sabbia di fronte al mare le femmine probabilmente le più inesperte partorivano li di fronte al mare anziché ritirarsi fra le dune sabbiose mettendo a rischio spesso la loro prole. Il tempo evolveva in modo rapido passando da una situazione di bel tempo soleggiato ad una situazione di bufera con neve e vento forte che sollevava la sabbia fino al punto che si era costretti a girarsi per proteggersi gli occhi e l'attrezzatura,visto che era impossibile girarsi ho approfittato per scattare alcune foto ad altri fotografi che nella mia stessa situazione aspettavano che tornasse la quiete.
