L'Arco di Trionfo del Carrousel di Parigi (Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel), fra il Louvre e il giardino delle Tuileries, fu commissionato da Napoleone Bonaparte per commemorare le sue vittorie militari, in particolare la campagna di Austerlitz del 1805. L'idea originaria era che l'Arco diventasse una porta d'accesso al palazzo delle Tuileries che, però, fu distrutto nel 1882 durante il periodo della Comune di Parigi. L'arco commemorativo fu costruito tra il 1807 e il 1809 (circa vent'anni prima del più celebre Arco di Trionfo sugli Champs-Elysées) su progetto degli architetti Charles Percier e Pierre-François-Léonard Fontaine, i quali presero a modelli l'Arco di Costantino I (312 d. C.) e quello di Settimio Severo (203 d. C.) a Roma. In stile neoclassico, quest'arco ha anche delle aperture ai lati che permettono il passaggio da e verso tutte le direzioni: da qui possiamo accedere ai giardini Tuileries e avere una magnifica vista della famosa Piramide del Louvre.
