Il pavimento del duomo di Siena e' uno dei piu' pregiati pavimenti di chiese, palazzi che esistano al mondo. Per la sua realizzazione furono necessari sei secoli (dal 1300 al 1800), compresa l'interruzzione per la peste nera del 1348, Il messaggio delle figurazioni e' un invito costante alla sapienza. Per ovvie ragioni di conservazione, il pavimento rimane parzialmente coperto per la maggior parte dell'anno e solo alcuni pannelli rimangono alla vista. L'intero pavimento viene scoperto per 6/8 settimane ogni anno, in genere questo periodo comprende il mese di Settembre. Il duomo di Siena è un superbo capolavoro in stile gotico italiano. Doppia esposizione.
